I’d love to do a reverse FAQ but then it wouldn’t really be a FAQ, but just thoughts that I have a lot of times that I want to ask people. So, sharpen your pencils (number 2 please because they are the ONLY ones that work for the Scan-Tron machine), take a water/coffee/scotch break before beginning, and then have a seat. Keep your eyes on your own paper. There is NOTHING interesting on your shoe so don’t stare at it trying to look for answers. Keep your sleeves rolled down, please. Neck-craning is not allowed and neither is “just cracking your neck”. I don’t buy that crap. I’m a seasoned teacher.
Ready for the backwards FAQ?
Ok.
Lately, depending on the type of entry I write, I’ve noticed that lurkers come out to either tell me I’m funny or that crying is ok in yoga. Ok, not that one. But I just wonder sometimes what makes a person decide to tell on themselves and leave a comment and is it like confession where you start with “Bless Me Mocha, For I Have Lurked”?
I’m taking two classes for the admin masters and one for the reading. The texts are, admittedly, academic in nature and don’t stimulate like a good fiction book. So I’m wondering what are you reading this summer? What would you recommend? Do you have a favorite author? People have asked about the Chicago Bloggers Book Choices and I have not gotten around to it yet, but read what Gary said about his book here. Ariana mentioned that I would like Augusten Burroughs and she was right. I have only read the first free chapter that I downloaded here but I can tell already that I will love him in an entirely inappropriate-but-trying-to-be-platonic manner. Davecago folks, please post your reads, ok? Everyone is dying to know. Dying, I tell you.
After I’m done puking out an entry I always feel the need to use a category which is not a huge stress point in my life, but sometimes I wonder do you really care what the category is?
As soon as I care to take the time to figure it out I will post more pictures here instead of flickr but the last time I did that it moved stuff around and it looked all wonky and I hated it. Do you prefer to see pictures embedded in an entry and then just forget about clicking on flickr or does it matter?
Summer blockbuster movies just aren’t what they used to be and that, quite frankly, pisses me off because I do so love my butter with some popcorn and will admit that I’ve gone to the movie theatre BECAUSE OF THE POPCORN AND HOT TAMALE CANDIES. So, in the spirit of supporting the local video store proprietors since Summer 2006 movies SUCK, I am curious what movies are rentable and that you like to watch and re-watch? For instance, I can’t get enough of Eddie Izzard’s Dress To Kill (which Mason and I say in our uber-hip lingo of “D2K”) right now and would recommend it to anybody. I don’t care if you have issues with transvestites or not. Everyone needs some Eddie. Even little old church ladies who would gasp to see him in person need some Eddie.
When I don’t get a chance to answer everyone in the comments I have SUCH GUILT and worry that people will be disappointed. Look at me. I’m such a people-pleaser sometimes. It does not fit with the hard-ass bitch I purport to be. Is it wrong that I’m getting to the point where I can’t answer everyone? I think that I just need to pick and choose from now on and that’s such a great thing with all the loverly comments you people leave!

I’m going to be a slacker student and only answer the questions I have a real responses for. Slap me with detention later.
I’m wondering what are you reading this summer? What would you recommend? — Of what I’ve read this year, thus far that has really stuck with me is: “Last Days of Summer: A Novel” by Steve Kluger and “Death at Priory: Sex, Love, and Murder in Victorian England” by James Ruddick. Rebecca Wells books are good, too. Nothing too heavy.
[B]ut sometimes I wonder do you really care what the category is? — Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me what fellow bloggers use for their categories. They just help me personally when “filing away” my own entries to look back at later. Don’t fret.
Do you prefer to see pictures embedded in an entry and then just forget about clicking on flickr or does it matter? — Flickr is easier for me, but what matters is what’s easier for YOU?
So, in the spirit of supporting the local video store proprietors since Summer 2006 movies SUCK, I am curious what movies are rentable and that you like to watch and re-watch? — I confess to being a Netflix whore. It’s true. I admit it. :::deep breath::: But, I do cheat on him with library rentals, too. Enough about my erotic DVD renting life. Some of these movies are on your list, too, so forgive the redundancy: Strangers on a Train, Munich (did you ever end up seeing this; I remember you saying because of my comments about gratuitous sex, you weren’t too keen on it), The Legend of Zorro, Cinderella Man, Pride and Prejudice (2005), Elizabethtown, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Start the Revolution Without Me, Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation, All About Eve, Connie and Carla, Harold and Maude, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Is it wrong that I’m getting to the point where I can’t answer everyone? — No, I don’t mind. I know that you read them, and will acknowledge the ones that aren’t generic (no offense to generic repliers – I confess to being one of them at times!).
I go away for a few days and I come back to a test? I wasn’t prepared! I didn’t study! This is so not fair! Can I go to the bathroom?
So, as far as I can remember, the last book I liked reading was “The Devil Wears Prada” and I think everyone’s read that already. I normally read political books and I don’t refer them because it’s so touchy of a subject. I need some book referrals too, I’ll check back here for those.
As for movies? I’m always behind with the new releases. But I loved “The Constant Gardener” and “Capote”. That’s how far behind I am.
And I love your flickr photos. I go there a lot to see your smiley face and your beautiful family.
And your categories rock. I say this because I never noticed them until you just mentioned them.
And I forgot the rest of the questions. Hang on…need to scroll back up.
-pause-
Oh the lurking things…..yeah…I don’t know how to answer that one. I’ve stopped lurking long ago.
Okay…..so what’s my score on this test?
1. what makes a person decide to tell on themselves and leave a comment and is it like confession where you start with “Bless Me Mocha, For I Have Lurked”?
Well, I don’t know about others but I can tell about my self. I found your blog back a few months ago while finding someone else’s blog on the MSN Space of the week thing. I there found your MSN Space and eventually ended up here. I was a lurker and then one day commented (or confessed). I don’t remember why I felt the need to comment or why you would even care but I did and you responded and now I read your blog every day. Anyway, I felt a connection with your situation/story and felt the need to share mine. Perhaps thats why they did it. I hope I’m not a lurker anymore.
2. what are you reading this summer? What would you recommend?
Do you have a favorite author?
So far I have started reading a chick lit novel called Spooning. Its a really light read…I don’t know that I would recomend it. My favorite author is Toni Morrison. But her stuff is pretty heavy stuff.
3. do you really care what the category
is?
Eh…sometimes I laugh at the “Freaky Family” but I don’t really know what the categories do. So I just ignore them.
4.Do you prefer to see pictures embedded in an entry and then just forget about clicking on flickr or does it matter?
I like Flickr. I think its neat. And I am assuming its eaiser for you.
5.what movies are rentable and that you like to watch and re-watch?
Oh Movies…I love movies. I am a bit of a movie buff if you will. This answer may get long. I’ll just list movies for you. These are in no particular order
In Her Shoes- Good movie (didn’t read the book) for a chick flick mood.
Mrs. Henderson Presents- There is some nudity (not in a bad way) great movie if you like british humor.
North Country- It made my inner feminist mad but then happy in the end.
Glory Road- Kid friendly, if you like one of those inspirational Remember The Titans-esque movies.
The Producers- I don’t have much to say about it. I love musicals.
The Ringer- Looked horrid but was good, suprisingly.
Hoodwinked- Another Kid Friendly, funny for kids and for adults.
Casanova- Good movie, cute boy, done tastefully
And movies I love to watch over and over again
Waynes World
Kill Bill 1 and 2
Elf (even when it isn’t Christmas)
Ferris Bueller
Dirty Dancing
Dazed and Confused
6. Is it wrong that I’m getting to the point where I can’t answer everyone?
No, it isn’t. Don’t worry about answering everyone or even really anyone unless you want to. Other wise you’d go CRAZY.
I hope I answered all the questions fully. Is there extra credit available if I don’t do well?
Let me see how I can best respond to the grill session proposed by one badly McDonalds caffeinated mocha (for shame, McD’s?):
a) lurkers – dunno what possesses them to read quietly for so long and not be as opinionated as the rest of us.
b) books – what are those? can i find it on bluefly, gofugyourself or in photoshop?
c) i didn’t even know you did categories, thus, I’d say any worries you have on the subject are due to a perfectionist nature.
d) pictures in posts are always nice to tell a story. as is the flickr badge on side. either way, any way, it all works.
e) go for rentals. HBO series my highly recommended faves.
I’m really lazy, so I’ll just do the book question.
Right now I’m reading “Jane Eyre”. I’ve been really trying to read the classics that I didn’t read in school. Next on my list is “Anna Karenina”, but I’m reading that for a book club.
Now a question for you. Are you glad you moved? I’m considering leaving blogger, but I don’t know where to begin, and I’m scared I’ll lose everything I’ve done so far.
A book Susan and I both enjoyed a whole lot was “Middlesex” by Jeffrey Eugenides. Since the author reveals what might otherwise be considered the spoiler in the very first page, I won’t feel bad doing the same. The main character is a hermaphrodite. His/her family history and background make this a fascinating read. You find yourself relating to Cal (as he is ultimately known) no matter your gender. The Pulitzer that Eugenides won was well-deserved.
I hope Super Dad is enjoying his sex box, er, uh, X-box. (Sorry. The sex confusion tie-in was too hard to resist.)
I don’t know how people have time to read books. If I could read books at work, I’d be in business. When I do have a chance to read, I’m working my way through a literary journal. http://orchidlit.org
I comment because I have something to say or because I want the blog author to know I visited and read. So they will visit me. And so their other commenters will visit me and LOVE ME. Say that you love me. Go on and fool me.
Have you seen “Walk the Line”? If no, do it today. So good. A completely ridiculous movie that had me peeing my pants: “Grandma’s Boy”. Doris Roberts is in it. It’s a Happy Madison production. Mallory could watch with you. I don’t know about the other kids. (There are drugs involved.)
Before I publish a new post, I like to wrap up with comments from the previous. I might say “Thank you all for commenting. Mocha – I’ll have to get with you on that.” if I don’t have time to answer each one. If I haven’t replied to a regular reader for a while, I’ll shoot them an e-mail. I think it’s good to answer comments. Each one individually? PFFT! I couldn’t answer all the comments you get with every entry. Are you even reading this? I bet you’re not. NEENER! You’re busted!
Well, first off let me just say that you don’t need to answer my responses Kelly. Basking in your wonderfulness is reward enough ;^)
Books: I have a passion for intelligent mysteries. Right now I am about to finish Deaver’s latest Lincoln Rhyme mystery and don’t ask me the title.
On a more intellectual note I recently finished The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It is a moving and inspiring story of courage and grit.
Then I am reading J. California Cooper’s Some Soul to Keep in bits and pieces.
As for movies, Glory Road was terrific. And last night I watched Big White with Robin Williams and Holly Hunter. It’s a fairly well done dark comedy. Holly plays a crazy wife with pseudo Tourette’s and Robin plays a fairly straight role as her loving and desperate husband who commits insurance fraud to save her. Pretty funny. And rather sweet.
Reading? Ha. I remember when I used to read actual books. That was one kid ago. Nice to know that sometime in the future I’ll get to do that again. Thanks, MM, for that.
Categories are nice, but I rarely find myself delving into similar posts from that category.
Pictures are nice, when they’re embedded. Going to flickr is dangerous for the ADHD among us. We could wind up anywhere!
I have awful taste in movies, and I typically see them about two years after they come out on video. Consequently, unless I’m trading lines from Caddyshack or Uncle Buck, I’m not likely to be talking motion pictures in public places. Sorry!
You should endeavour to respond to EVERY. SINGLE. COMMENTER. You NEED us to define you, to love you, to justify your bloggy existence. Anything less than a personal nod to each and every one of us could drive us off for good. You’ve been warned. And I’m kidding about all that stuff.
Mike
Favorite Author: Robert A Heinlein, followed closely by of all people, Aristotle!
Favorite Genre: Philosophy (To include Military Science Fiction due to the fact that MilSF draws from Classocal period scholars all the way forward to Machiavelli, Sun Tzu and Von Clausewitz)
Watch and Rewatch movies?: Serenity. I like the dark humor and oddball characterizations. I especially enjoy the “Antihero” characters like Mal and Jane Cobb who really aren’t what they purport thamselves to be!
Why I comment: I often get a clue as to what underlies a mind I find very fascinating from your responses, to me and to others. (I mean that I find your mind fascinating in a good way, by the way, not fascinating like looking into the mind of a serial killer for example!);)
I read the categories, and I also leave comments when I can relate or feel I can contribute to your post. I swear, I’m not a lurker!
Hugs,
Cordaville
Hi Kelly,
Just saying ‘hi’. I’m still alive, still unemployed and still don’t have a pc at home. I don’t get online too much. I’m at the library. Hope all is well with you and your family. Take care. Drop me a line if you get a chance.
An old online friend.
Weird. Comments are all in italics.
I read too much, and most of it is junk. I just read Queen of the Oddballs and it was quite funny, by Hillary Carlip. Other favorites include Isabel Allende, and (please don’t beat me) Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum books, the new one of which is released today.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Eddie Izzard!
I lurk because I’m a voracious reader and don’t have time to write. (The Cliff Notes version would be: I lurk because I’m lazy)
books? I’ve recommended some to you already but you STILL haven’t turned in your book reports.
movies: anything with Zhang Ziyi (or Ziyi Zhang, depending…), A Knight’s Tale, Resident Evil 1. I’m a bit behind regarding new flicks.
photos: whatever’s easier for you; I have more pics of you and the family than I have of myself!
comments: I adore you so you can get away with anything, even being noncommenting.
After experiencing a lip waxing I’ll hardly get a bikini wax and put photos up…unless I’m extremely drunk. Cocktails, anyone?
Hello!
I wouldn’t consider myself a lurker….I comment when I have time. Problem is I am not nearly as witty as most of your other visiters…so I may not stand out
Reading..well that is something that requires more time than I currently have. But I have made note of your faves and hope to beigin reading them someday.
I really don’t pay attention to the catagories.
I don’t mind going to flicker to check out your photos…which are great by the way. I love the canon line of cameras. I have three…and hubby has been wanting to add.(we will have the same.Nice since I know how great the picture quality is)
Movies…Hmmm lets see.
I am an old movie buff.
12 Angry Men
All about Eve
Guess Who’s coming to Dinner
West Side Story
Anything Marilyn Monroe…LOL
I also recently enjoyed
Casanova
A Knights Tale is another favourite
I just took the kids to see “CARS”,
I have to say it was pretty damn cute. Although not really an adult type movie. Made me giggle…and that’s always good. LOL
As for the comments..well, if you can’t answer them all…I don’t mind.
Don’t feel the need to respond to this comment. Unless you want to.
Seriously…you said Scan Tron and my mind blanked. I haven’t heard that term in…well, let’s see…um…..too many years. And I totally flashed back to HS and I totally freaked out.
Thanks. Now my day is ruined.
Lurkers- I don’t know what comes over people who want to just blab everything online! I would never talk about the twelve bodies in the basement of an old farmhouse I stole from an old couple before I sent them to Viet Nam in 1969 in my place. Never! YOU HEAR ME!!??
Davecago Books – as the culprit who started the round robin question at the table that night and didn’t have the where-with-all to WRITE THE DAMN ANSWERS DOWN I take full responsibility for this dangling participle. I’m sorry. Right now I’m reading the paper. But just the sports.
Flickr – I rarely look at them and don’t participate on my blog. I like pictures in the posts, but only if it is really really good looking food!
Rewatch Movies – Peter Sellers’ “Being There.” Can’t see it enough. There’s more – but I just got called to dinner……….
Wow! Your new space is AWESOME!! Absolutely incredible! Did you do this all yourself?? (And your open letter to MSN was funny too…)
–DM
so many questions…no time for that now. Have you seen this? http://grannyvibe.blogspot.com/2006/06/my-black-immersion-month.html#links
Bless me Mocha, for I have lurked! Well not really, but I do love your new site!! It’s beautiful! And I love the touch you gave it with the orchid (one of my favorites *wink*). I’m sure this new site of your will treat you well. I’m so proud of you learning HTML too! Okay, enough lurking . . .
I would comment most every time you write a new entry if I had time to do so.
I just got done reading “he Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” by Mark Haddon. Strange, but most excellent.
Because I am new to your blog, it’s sometimes handy if I read something interesting to scan the associated category to see what you’ve said before.
If the photos enhance your entry or explain something you’ve talked about, I love to see photos embedded in the text. But, in all seriousness, you’re such as good writer that the photos aren’t entirely necessary.
My guilty pleasure movie choices are horribly embarrassing (I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve watch “EuroTrip”), but I’ve turned to foreign films to experience something new. Cinema Paradiso is an incredible movie. As is Amelie. Oh… and Japanese animation is always a fantastic choice!
I too wish that I could respond to every comment, but it gets to the point that you either spend all your time in the comments, or writing something new. Because of that, I try to balance between the two as best I can.
Admittedly, I don’t come here often enough, however, I’m going to lurk for this one because I can only see out of one eye (you can read about it if you want at my blog – it’s gross though and don’t say I didn’t warn you but you are so pretty and I would hate for you to become tainted by reading it), and it seems like work to answer all of your very valid questions.
Love ya, gorgeous!
Blogging shouldn’t be work.
A Quiz?! At 11:41 at night? Doesn’t that qualify as cruel and unusual punishment?
Reading: Haven’t had much time recently…I’m still limping my way through that Dr. Phil book (I’m too stubborn to give up on it completely). When I do get a chance to read (like today at dinner) I’m enjoying “The Color of Magic” by Terry Pratchett. I’ll probably try to pick up the new Laurell K. Hamilton books (if there are any) and read the two most recent Janet Evanovich books, those are my “trashy reading.” I’m also starting to read a collection of WWII love letters called “As always, Jack” by Emma Sweeney.
Movies: Last recent movie I saw was “Lucky Number Sleven” on a second date, which unfortunately didn’t pan out – however the movie was pretty good. I wouldn’t rate it as one of my favorites, however.
Categories: How long do you want me to spend on this? I could write you a pretty long dissertation about the importance of metadata, from a librarian’s perspective. However, that might bore you so let me put it this way: A long, long time ago (like maybe 1985), people actually kept these things called “diaries.” It was part of a long standing tradition of putting one’s thoughts and feelings down on paper, which goes back a long ways in history. Many of these “diaries” (“The Diary of Anne Frank” for example) found their ways into libraries, archives and special collections. Through these original documents both scholars and ordinary folks were able to learn what it was like to be an ordinary person from the period in question, which was great because ordinary people LOVE to read about other ordinary people – it makes us feel less alone in this big, bad world.
So anyway, then came this thing called the “internet” and with its “email” and “blogs” – and people stopped writing paper letters and diaries. Everything was born digital, and therefore harder to capture and preserve. So librarians started worrying (it’s what we do really) and coming up with different plans on how save this new digital content for future ordinary people to read. And they’re working on that now. And when they do come up with a plan, I expect that some of the bigger programs (Harvard, for example) will make deals with service providers like MSN to collect their blogs and store screen shots that can then be search by a Google-like search engines.
And, when Harvard comes to harvest/collect the Kelly (aka Mocha) Blog Collection, they’ll structure it based both on date and on the categories that you gave the entries, because that shows your own intellectual structuring of your thoughts and therefore says something about who you are.
SO, in short (or in long), YES the categories matter.
Pictures: Whatever. It’s not metadata, so I won’t lose any sleep over it one way or another.
Questions: Oh please. You have a life – answer what you want. People will just have to get over it, and if they can’t then that’s a sign they need to get out and get their OWN life, in my humble opinion. >:-)
Oh, yeah…and when’s the last time I actually lurked on YOUR blog, hmmmmmmmm?
I feel like a cheater who’s just been caught…all red-faced and embarassed! So here’s my confession to being a lurker. I’m so ashamed! No really, I have loved reading your blog for the past few months and I guess I felt like I wanted to “get to know you” a little better before I said anything stupid. But most of the time in my real life I don’t have very strong opinions, either, so that’s been holding me back too. Please don’t call my parents!
Ok, now I’ll try to take your test, if I can concentrate after such a confession.
I love to read, but haven’t read much in the past few months because I’ve spent all my time on the computer. The last book I read was part 3 in a thrilling series called “The Circle” by Ted Dekker, though I will warn you he is a Christian author, which doesn’t seem to be your style. I also really loved “Rocket Boys” by Homer H. Hickam, Jr. It’s more of an autobiography (also made into a movie, “October Sky”).
As far as categories, I’m with one of the commentors before me. I look at them as a way for me to organize my own blogs.
For pictures, I confess to being a little lazy and would rather see them embedded.
I truly don’t watch any adult movies at this point. If I watch anything at all, it’s Veggie Tales or Wallace and Grommit (if you do like them, “Curse of the Wererabbit” is pretty cute!). I think the last real movie I watched was “Sixteen Candles,” but that’s because I love Molly Ringwald, so I’d recommend you don’t take my movie recommendations.
And I definitely think it’s okay that you don’t respond to all of your comments. Who could expect you to do such a thing?
i hate flickr
)
(probably cos i haven’t registered properly and can’t access peeps photos..)

Hmmm….a test? It’s been awhile I have been on the OTHER end of the desk (lol).
Books? My fav. authors are John Grisham and Frank Peretti (a Christian Author), and book The Veritas Conflict by Shaunti Feldhahn (currently reading)
Movies? Well, I always like Sandlot (it’s a classic), Diary of a Mad Black Woman (Madea rocks!!!!), Instinct, Meet Joe Black, Auntie Mame, Under the Tuscan Sun, Joshua (a christian movie…very good)
I like the categories. It helps me find the entries I go back to and read again.
It’s ok that you cannot reply to every comment. That means your readership is growing. That’s cool. All anyone can expect is to do what you can. It’s good…it’s goooood!!
I love the intro of this post. It made me reminisce on the lines of my teachers during exams back in my high school days. The days when I used to believe that having the best cheating tactics to fool a teacher is cool..LOL!
Let me take this test so as to take away the guilt of being a lurker. LOL! I am a lurker most of the time though I’ve commented a few times before. Sorry about that, Mocha! I just love the stuff you write about.
Books- Hmmmmn! I like chick lit novels of Sophie Kinsella. I am currently reading Can You Keep a Secret. I’m really outdated huh?!
Categories- Not a big deal for me. I don’t really care what category your day’s post falls under I still read it.
Pictures- Uhmmm..I’ll deviate on most commenters opinion. I like it better when the pictures are embedded in the post itself. Maybe I’m just sloth-like on clicking the links and Flickr.
Movies- My all time favorite would be Sixth Sense. I just love it. It never fails to scare me no matter how many times I’ve watched the movie.
Reply to comments- I don’t make a big fuss if you won’t reply to my comments. Although it’ll bring me smiles if you’d reply.
Did I get an A on this test? I hope so. If not then it’s still ok cause the guilt of being a lurker is all gone now. LOL!
PINK BOX!
You HAVE to tell the story about the singing guy in the Clark store!
Jen
P.S,
My brain is too fried this week to answer questions…I hope you understand!
Lurkers–I had tons of them–or at least this is what i told myself. No, you know you can tell. For example, NONE of my personal friends EVER commented, except my friend’s husband did a couple of times.
Categories? I think they are weird. I mean, the whole point of a blog is to see the natural progression–you don’t want something categorized. or at least I don’t, so I’ll speak for the world.
I WANT to read The Time Traveller’s Wife becuase it came highly recommended by two librarian friends. Yes, I realize I just copped to having two friends who are librarians. I think that is sure to put me in the Nerd Hall of Fame.
Movies: Don’t even get me started, ‘K?
J to the Wall – Soon. I’ll tell that story. It should illustrate that YES, weird things happen to me a lot. Do I attract that? Don’t answer that question.
Lisa – Be careful. I have two known librarians who are constant commentors. I know what you mean, though. Hey, Nerd is the new black. Or something like that. Maybe it was “geek”. Hmmm… seems Ken and I were having this conversation recently.
Have I mentioned that I’m tired? I have? Ok. I’ll move on.
Well, I’m guilty! I’m a lurker! However, I’ve admitted it and commented before! So does that count? The only reason I comment on it when I leave a comment for the first time is so the person will know I didn’t just come in, read one post, and comment…I had read your blog for a couple of months before I ever commented. It’s kind of like walking into a room and jumping into the conversation without knowing what has already been said! I like to get to know someone a little (blogland knowledge, at least) before leaving my opinion….otherwise how could you know enough to have a real opinion!?! Anyway…thanks for all the ideas about good reading material, folks!
Jean
categories? Those are links and not just some kind of preview of your blog entry? oooooo… I have a lot to learn.
not taking the test cos my alarm didn’t go off, I ran out of gas…. I got a flat tire, umm ummm. *cheesy grin* You’re gonna pass me anyway, right?
um, miss mocha, is this test multiple choice? ohhhhhh, ok
-I tend to lurk, mostly because i’m a lazy ass, and think typing a few words is to much work. sorry, i’ll make up the work to you after school, if you think that would boost my grade.
-This summer, i plan to read 2 series:
Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy (i’ve already read the first 3, they are amazing, and hilarious!!!!!!)
and “The #1 ladies detective agency” series.
i’ve read all but the last 2 books, but they rock.
-catergorys: WUT EV
-flickr: SAME DIF
-Ok, movies, movies, movies [tapping my number 2 pencil on the desk in a VEARY annoying way...]
Lord of the rings, fiddler on the roof, and all the Laura croft movies, (if you don’t have anything to do all day, so you can watch them in a row)
to feed my stupid fart-humor side:
Van wilder, sorority boys, austin powers and anything featuring jack black.
old favs:
whats eating gilbert grape, benny and joon, all the 007 movies (again, only cool if you watch them ALL in a row) ferris buellers day off, and pirates of the carribean.
you can probably tell i’m a bit of a johnny depp freak, but I AM NOT ASHAMED!!!
Yes, I must admit. I’ve lurked, I lurk, I will lurk. I’m so sorry, please forgive me. I love this blog which I’ve only just found a few days ago.
Books? hmmm…..I love anything by Nietzsche~mainly because throughout his writings you can see where he is slowly going mad. The Doctor’s Daughter by Hilma Wolitzer was extremely good. Right now I am reading Before the Dawn which just came out. I’m not sure of the author and I can’t find the book but I think my youngest child may have used it as the foundation for a lego skyscraper!
I will try to post more but I too am busy as I’m finishing a degree in genetics and also work full time. But this also means that I drink more than my fair share of coffee as well!
Hello! I followed you over from MSN Spaces and I don’t think I’ve ever responded. I still haven’t gotten a routine down for responding and/or even posting to my own blog. Anyway, I just finished reading family and other accidents by Shari Goldhagen, The Good Life and Brightness Falls both by Jay McInerary. I enjoyed all three! Also another really good good book is The Corrections by Frank McKenzen. Forgive me if I got his last name wrong. I’m not that great with names.
Let me just say I’m glad people are continuing to respond with these titles! My summer reading list just took on SuperWoman length. I’m still adding on.
