Would Some Bullets Be Ok? Really. Would They?

It’s about all I can muster right now.

  • That job thing I didn’t get? I can’t talk about it. Plus, I’m not one to wallow.
  • Wallowing is for when your best friend in third grade steals your Junior Mints or tells everyone that you were eating your boogers in the bathroom.
  • Neither of those things ever happened to me.
  • I’m getting back up on the proverbial horse and keeping my resume current.
  • I really want to use some cuss words right now.
  • I’m trying hard not to do that and have hit my delete button so much that some of the letters have rubbed off and it just reads “dele”.
  • That is pronounced “deli” and don’t you want a really good sandwich now? A corned beef on rye with a cream soda and a pickle on the side? Me, too.
  • Did you miss the way my brain works going from resumes to eating?
  • Good lord, I got 139 emails after that one post and I can’t possibly reply to them all!
  • I now like the term “resume builder” and am thinking of adding it to my business card.
  • What in the world have y’all been up to? Anyone get a new tattoo? A bad haircut? A good makeout cd?
  • I have this wild idea that I won’t have to quit, but that I still am taking a break. So what am I doing writing this post?

Oh Kelly how we’ve missed thee. I’m sorry things aren’t going as well as we hoped they would for you. Things will look up (and I hate hearing that when they clearly are not).

On a side note, I got a new tattoo =0) and a good haircut with great highlights. No makeout cd though I did go on a date with the husband and we had fun.

    Hope all gets better

well crap, i missed a lot with bloglines being funky. instead of going back to your last post, i will say what i thought here.

you don’t to hear those things? then i won’t say any of them. instead, i will say, “you are loved.”

because you are. very, very much. by many, many people.

    Hmmm… okay, since you asked:
*Got mannies/peddies/waxies (eyebrows) with S and mom.
*The dog is next in line sans waxies; he’ll just get a nice puppy-cut.
*Kids are on Spring Break and we are losin’ our freakin’ minds.
*I got a new truck. One that just won’t quit. (Now that song is stuck in your head.)
*My Oonyon is too big for my britches.
*Youngest is actually capable of telling jokes and teasing now. A true break-through for his lil autistic self.
*S has just booked her first wedding for her new photography business. She’s thrilled.
*I have two jobs on the hook and I’m not sure I want either of them.
*I finally sold my house in Arizona.
*Resume’ Builder is a fine, fine profession.
*How did you know I was thinking about getting a new tattoo. That is so totally uncanny. Kissing seahorses… looks like a heart… only girlie, frilly, pretty, goth. Yeah.
*I’ve wondered how you were doing. Glad to hear you are okay and (insert sarcastic tone) *not mad/bitter/pissed*
Hugs and chugs from my jugs to your lugs.
I have no idea what that means but it made me laugh.
    :)

I don’t know what you’re doing but whatever it is we’re glad to see you back :) Take care hon, the sun will come out.

No tattoos here but with my current white chocolate mocha addiction I’m contemplating getting the mermaid tatooed right on my thigh (maybe it will cover up some of the extra pounds I’m packing on with reckless abandon?)

I’ve missed you. :-) Glad to see this post today, I needed a smile. Thanks for that.
What’s happening here? Hmmmm new washer and dryer, dishwasher. Got the plans back for our remodel, ready to go to the county with them. Took my blog private due to repeat appearance by ex friend/troll. Trying to find fun things to do with my son while he’s out of school for TWO WEEKS for spring break.
    So really, not much.

Good to see you. Lots accomplished w/ my school kiddos. Spring Break starts in 2 days. Whee!! Maybe the beach–cold and refreshing and restoring. But no gossip worth a darn for you. Sorry, Kelly.

    Welcome Home. {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

Where’ve you been? I missed you!

*Two weeks ago our apartment (in the basement of a building) flooded. They’re done replacing drywall, linoleum and carpet and we can start moving back in now. We’ve been staying in a townhouse in the same complex. Nothing of value was ruined, luckily.
*We bought a house! We’ve been looking for the last year and we literally stumbled upon it on Sunday. It passed inspection and we secured a mortgage. We’ll be closing mid-May.
*I’m getting my hair cut today (all of them!). My hairdresser participated in St. Baldrick’s Day and I can’t wait to see her shiny new head. :) *I’m doing developmental pediatrics this month and it’s been very awesome (aside from the schedule, which has been mostly half-days).
*It’s nearly flip-flop season and I can barely contain myself.

(Welcome back from wherever you were!)

WooHoo! So glad you are coming back. Even if you only posted once a week, all of us “fans” would be very grateful.

Nothing new here. Got my first UGLY comment yesterday. Still not sure how to take it. Guess since I’ve been bloggin for almost a year and just got my first mean comment, I’m doing pretty good.

Question for you - Can we spread the word that you are coming back, albeit slowly?

    -S.

I figured since you asked and you seem like you missed this…the least I can do is respond so maybe just maybe we can keep you. I know exactly how you feel in reference to the cussing…I could really stand to cuss someone out. I am pregnant so only god knows how long I will be able to hold off. My son got mud all over my car this morning from making the trip from the house to my car (did I mention that we are remodeling?) On the upside I ordered a new Jimmy Choo bag and that will always puts a smile on a girl’s face! Glad you are writing

I’m just glad your back to write this post. I missed you. I still miss you. I know this is the farthest thing from your mind, but are you going to BlogHer? I made business cards, I’m all geared up. I hope you’re there!

  18. mike Said,

Nice to have you back, even if it turns out to be temporary.

And now you can start going ONNNNNN and ONNNNN about BlogHer, like all my other favourite bloggers are doing, making the rest of us feel like schleps who’ll miss out on getting all sorts of new BFFs to hug and lick and go ONNNNN and ONNNNN about when you return from BlogHer with your cameras filled with wonderful pictures of wonderful bloggers and the licking and the hugging and …

Sorry, where was I? Oh, yes. Nice to have you back!

I’ve been babysitting a two-year-old for the last week. His parents were on vacation. It was interesting to say the least, but no major catastrophies. So that’s good. I have gotten a new haircut since I last commented, and I’m lovin’ it.

I check in every once in awhile to see if you’ve posted anything. Nice to hear a little bit from ya!

  20. Mike Said,

Bullets? Don’t you need a gun first? Not that I can help you with that, but I sure hope you are not thinking of going “Postal.” It would be a waste of many things - time, effort, energy, and especially YOU!

You do know that the Corned Beef and Rye will go directly to your hips?

I went to Vegas a few weeks ago and am going again tomorrow. the Stock market is all over the place right now and gauging it is more work than it is worth - too many unknowns right now - Fed, Iran, Oil, people going to jail, etc.

A good joke would work wonders, but I don’t have any! SORRY!

Can’t help with the “Makeout CD” either. Do you have one you can share with me? I mean if you have one can you loan it to me? Just make sure it is clean and playable!

Keep your chin up - life is too short for all the little crap to really matter.

Luther Vandross never fails for a makeout cd.

Tom should continue the shoes no matter what I’m doing.

BlogHer is in my plans at this point in time.

Even my comments are bulleted. Sorta.

No haircut, no tattoo. I did buy the exact same suede Mary Janes you’re rocking on flicker, though! God bless and keep Payless. Oh, and I’m currently obsessed with The Plain White T’s for music. Not good makeout music, but lots of angsty pop rock. Start with Hey There, Delilah, and then check out everything else you can find by them!

Okay, for an underachiever it feels selfishly good that you’ve hit a snag in your life of overachieving. Do I sound petty? Yeah, I know. Seriously, I’ve been reading your posts about what a superwoman, superstudent, supereverythingyou’vedoneinthepastcouplayears, and it’s almost like “Finally, something didn’t work out exactly like she wanted!” It makes my life of nothing seeming to ever go right feel a lot more comfortable. THANK YOU. And now that I’ve expressed those sorta true, sorta poking fun at you words I feel totally guilty. Despite this small setback you’re still my hero and I still want to be you. Hang in there, Heifer. You know as well as I that something better is gonna come along and you’ll get that and we’ll all be glad you didn’t get this cheesy job. Then we’ll all, in unison, flip a cyber-bird at whomever it was that was stupid enough not to hire you. [In your honor since you're trying not to cuss - "shitpissfuckhelldamn."]

  25. Janice Said,

Why are you writing this post? For people like me who kept coming back here as often as possible to check for a new one (post)! Because sometimes I just need a little mocha…like when I’ve been at work from 7:30am until 6pm and I’m beat. Or when I get people in my office who don’t understand that I have a deadline to meet and what they are handing me to do is pididdlecrap that wastes my time and makes me want to scream. It’s so nice to come here and read about your kids and work and to see your pics! So what if you didn’t get the job? So what if you’re updating your resume? My sister is 51 and updating her resume as I type and re-interviewing for a position next week. She’s still in college too. Be proud. When you get your next position it will be the right fit for you. Meanwhile I’m glad just to have a piece of mocha for right now…:)

*gasp* you should come to San Francisco and become a certified yoga instructor with me! It’d be soooo fun, ohmigoodness! C’mon :) It’s time for an adventure!!!
