I’ll Get To It

Very recently I’ve been getting lots of email wondering where I am, if I’ll be posting regularly, and asking for things. I’m also getting a lot of spam on this site and it’s becoming rather silly. “Gay breath control” is my current favorite. Also, my favorite subject line for emails comes from this guy. He’s nice enough, sure, but it’s the subject lines that cause me to cross my legs for fear of not making it to the restroom lest my bladder not be controlled.

The best so far: Cure Your Yeast Infection With Malathion.

A close second: It’s Time To Re-order Your Cialis.

Good stuff, eh?

Other email comments are about articles where students are spitting on administrators and several (seriously. SEVERAL.) from folks who would like a summer reading list for kids. Ok. I think I can do that.

First, however, I think I should mention that I got a new job. A promotion, of sorts. Not as a principal or even an assistant, but a step up for sure. More responsibility. More schools in my charge.

I’ll say more stuff later. New job stuff to do.

Oh, and come back for the book lists. I’m making recommendations based on new books, classics, and just plain good stuff for the kids to read. So come back, mmkay?

*snort!* I know who one of the “students spitting on teachers” articles came from…my mom mentioned she was sending that to you yesterday.

Hope summer’s treating you well, Lady.

    Congratulations on your promotion!

My kids range in age from four to thirteen. Just so you know when you’re makin’ your list. Wink & nudge.

Your feed is doing something funny with punctuation. For example, this is an apostrophe: “’”

I’m new to your page, but, I’m loving it so far. You are one of the few people that I “know” that love coffee as much as I do. Unfortunately, I am a “purist” - give me java, a plain old cup-a-joe. My brother and I do the coffee houses a lot, and he loves STARBUCKS. Personally, I don’t like the taste. Hope I don’t get punched out for that one! Suggest a different coffee for me to try, besides G.I. Joe, and I will give it a try. Best wishes with your new upgrade, job-wise, that is. I have saved you to my favorites, but would like to RSS you, but can’t find the link. Am I becoming digitally-challenged? Peace.

All I can say is that prayer works. For some reason my prayers appear to be on a time-delay (results come several weeks after the initial prayer) but I’m thankful this particular prayer had some effect (!)

Looking forward to the reading list. Will there be anything I’d like?

Enjoy having Mallory home. Any daughter gets annoying after a while, especially when they’re been gone for a while. Just remember how much you missed her and overlook the trivial stuff.

Reading lists? I love them. I am moving from my 6th grade job to a 4th grade, so I’ll probably read a lot of grade 4 literature in the next year to familiarize myself with it. I will keep reading for fun with my son Amigo (Braille reader, age 15), and he doesn’t know I choose his titles carefully for easy and fun reading. :)
