Have beans, will grind. Have Kona, will drink until every last drop is gone and cup looks clean again. Have coffee, have good life. I need to write fortunes for a living, don’t I? There are yummy smelling beans that will make me a great cuppa this morning and I’m not one for adding anything lately (that 1/2 marathon thingie) so it’s pure, hot, dark, rich Kona coffee for my cuppa. Have some with me? Tell me how things are? No, no… how are you?

I’m annoyed about the coffee. My wife went and got me some Peet’s “Anniversary Blend” for Father’s Day, which was a really nice gesture, but it’s just… well, sooo weak. I’m thinking I’ll go out and get some French Roast and put it in the Anniversary Blend bag, but I’ll probably get caught.
Am I a horrible husband? Need… strong… coffee…

I am great
Thanks for asking! Drinking coffee, reading the somewhat resurrected blog of one of my fav. bloggers (that would be YOU), and my babies are gone for 3 days ( I miss them. No. Really. I dooo) and I’m going out with my bestest friend tonight for ‘ME’ time! My blog is doing wonderful and I get Starbucks later today.
What more could a girl ask for?

This was my pathetic coffee day:
Got up. No filters. Made my Peets Decaf Sierra Dorada by straining it through a paper towel. It was surprisingly decent.
Went to Peet’s. Got an iced decaf for the trip to work. Not enough ice, kinda weak.
Made instant Nescafe Clasico after lunch at work. Used the last of my almost-funky milk from last week that I had left in a sippy cup in the fridge. Put it over ice. It sucked fourteen ways from Sunday.
I give up. Until tomorrow.

I had Red Rock Roasters Thunderbolt, our favorite brew of late. Muy sabrosa!
How am I? Thanks for asking. Good, enjoying the treasure hunt of finding glasses and etc in the old house and trying to determine value of said items. Turns out the ugliest thing I nearly threw out is the most valuable. Oh and a squirrel stole my white pumpkin plants, I am going to get the shotgun and sit on the portch or go watch the Rollins show, it is a toss up.

Doing well. Diggin’ the new job (sometimes). Closed my blog(again) Opened a new place (private-you are of course invited) Hubbs is deploying for fifteen months(soon).
Can I just say I love Starbucks Africa Kitamu? I have had the pleasure of drinking this particular blend at work for the past couple of weeks. It seems the commissary (translation for the non-military-grocery store) had a huge sale on Starbucks coffee, 3.59! for a 12oz bag. Several of the office mates (myself included) purchased mass quatities of coffee…it’s certainly an improvment over the swill they normally brew at the office.
Aloha,
Missy
PS: You are invited to the new place. Shoot me an email if you want to check it out.

Doodaddy - Peet’s is normally a fave of mine. Make a stronger pot and get back to me. Tell me if it’s better.
Chris - Three days sans babies? Stop drinking coffee, hon. Have something stronger.
Suebob - Oh. Dear. That’s just awful. I’m sending good Koffee Karma to you right now. All will be well. If not, go back to bed and throw the covers over your head until the world is all right again.
Nora - The squirrel was just acting as it must. Don’t blame the squirrel. (Good t-shirt logo, no?) What is this Red Rock you speak of? A delicacy in the land of New Mexico? WHY DON’T I KNOW OF THIS? I mean… enjoy that lovely brew. Sounds great!
Missy - YES to the Kitamu! It’s got a little spicy punch to it. What exactly is the new job? I mean, if we’re going to sit here and sip coffee the world over, you should give me more details. OR I could visit that new blog of yours… I’m emailing you.

Currently enjoying a nice bold blend from the Buxx (the name escapes me, but it’s tasty with some skim milk).
In other news, almost done with my first year of my pediatrics residency. Only two to go (plus a year as chief resident)!
Glad your well. Cheers!

Seriously, I need to start grinding my own beans. I am going to go out and get a grinder; from what I have read a burr grinder is best, the Capresson Cool Grind is a favorite on Cook’s Illustrated. I need to try Peet’s!
And here is a t-shirt you NEED: http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/boingboing/iBag/~3/125863292/shockingly_honest_an.html
Love ya!

Coffeepot. I haven’t checked the new classroom for a good place for a coffeepot. That’ll have to be my first project in August.
