He sings my current favorite song which I’ll be playing ad nauseam on my jaunty drive to The City. Mostly I refer to him as My Boyfriend, Common. You can keep that other trash to yourselves if you want, but no matter because he’ll be hanging out in the suburban malls trolling for teens anyway.
But this one? Tackle him or put on a Body Bind Curse or use some Jedi Mind Trick to detain him until I arrive.

Common is the coolest. I was walking down the streets of NYC late at night a few years ago and saw him walking down the street. He looked totally mellow. No posse. No entourage. Just him walking down the street listening to his ipod. I stopped to tell him that I was a big fan and that I totally enjoyed his music. We had a short conversation about his music, other rappers, and some NYC stuff. For a guy who is putting out some of the best rap music around, he was totally cool.

I have always found Common hot like fire! The “Come Close” song he did with Mary J was so sweet (some years ago) and the last album had a couple of songs I would listen to when driving my husband’s car.
I had such high hopes for Mr. Kelly,such a beautiful voice and a great producer, but he likes little girls and have you listened to some of those lyrics? Just stop. Ok, just stop. But as long as people keep buying it, he’ll keep singing it.
