I’ve come to some realizations…

My feet are big but my sons are bigger now and that somehow comforts me.

This time of year I crave a clove cigarette and some hot apple cider but I know the clove cigarette will burn my lungs and not really be as tasty as I want it to be.

The reason I didn’t join NaBloShoeMo is that I felt guilty about buying more shoes because, for the love of grape jelly, I already had at least 30 pair from last year.

That didn’t stop me from buying them this last year and consider photographing them. I could be talked into that.
A cold turkey sandwich on wheat bread with some tomato isn’t on the menu soon enough. Come on, Thanksgiving!

When I consider baking cookies and taking some to my hairdresser because I see her each week makes me a total hair whore.

It’s been sixteen years since I got my braces off and I still run my tongue over my teeth when a student tells me they just got theirs off.

I won’t ever stop caring for and loving the students who cross my path. It’s worth it to give my heart to them.

My daughter will owe less than twenty grand in loans after college and that number seems kinda reasonable.

If I watch The Philadelphia Story I can’t help but say, “My, she was yar” about anything beautiful. I do this for about three weeks.

Getting me through some rough times…

…excellent black tea from Teavana.

…coveting these pretty shoes.

…drooling over this camera with that lens and this flash.

…hugs from my not so little boys.

…anticipating a commissioned painting from this artist.

…re-reading this little gem.

…watching this series that completed my 7 year set.

…listening to this song, even the Ben Folds version.

…reading your words from yesterday’s sad, sad post.

Thanks.

i’ll be doing my own shoe month in december, just like i did last year, so if you change your mind in the next couple weeks, feel free to join me then. even if you don’t join me, i expect some mocha cheers from the sidelines for the particularly awesome pairs. which, really? are every pair. ;)

I love The Philadelphia Story - she was yar, indeed.

    Did someone say Ben Folds?

You know, often of late I have felt like there was not much for me to comment on. Sometimes there’s just nothing to add, other times I have to point of reference for the discussion.

    But. Oh. Today.

After you, of course, Kate Hepburn is who I want to be when I grow up. Maybe I can morph the two of you into a perfect woman, and then figure out how to be that. With all the fab shoes, too.

I’m sorry you hurt and nothing but time can make someone hurt less just know that there WILL be better times on the horizon.

And the 20 grand…resonable to some not so resonable to others…but who really cares b’cuz it’s all worth it b’cuz what she will gain by being educated is priceless.

Oh i just have to tell you I’m cracking myself up…I sound like a hallmark and mastercard commercial all rolled into one…haha

On that note…those shoes you linked to…HOW FREAKING CUTE! My goal of NOT buying anything new before Christmas…well don’t think I’m going to make it…DARN!! hahaha

Wow. I took a peak at that camera, and oooh baby. That’s an investment! But you take such beautiful photos, it’s worth it!

Hugs from your own not-so-little boys — that’s the best one on the list. I’m so glad my own not-so-little boy still hugs me now and then. It’s really worth a million.

I would not recommend a Canon camera. I know they take beautiful photos, but the new Canons aren’t made very well. I’ll just say I have inside information and they use really cheap parts that break or wear out in no time at all. The old Canons were great and lasted forever, but sadly that is not the case with the new ones. It’s a real shame as I like them, but I would not buy one right now.
