		<description>Oooh, memories of those Gunne Sax dresses give me the shivers! Why did we ever think those were high fashion? For one danceâ€”probably ninth gradeâ€”I rocked a tea-length taffeta maroon skirt and the most victorian-looking white blouse ever.

You&#039;re probably right: Our parents knew that no guy would make a move on us in those things. Or that if one did, he&#039;d be so lost in taffeta and lace that he&#039;d give up.
