This weekend I spent time with my sisters and parents in Chicago (a difficult feat, to say the least - my parents are divorced and one of my sisters isn’t speaking to my father) and it was the most wonderful family time. I’m too exhausted to write much. Here. Have pictures. In fact, have pictures with smudges in the left-hand corner!
My sister, her boyfriend, and my 2 nephews spent all day with us on Saturday. We ate the most delicious pancakes IN THE WORLD I DARE YOU TO FIND BETTER.
I tried on some of my sister’s shoes. She said I may borrow these lovelies for my trip to San Francisco next month.
We went to Grant Park where we saw a group of people being photographed for a Quinceañera. This little guy wasn’t so interested in the pictures, but loved his cane.
Taking a break from a lot of walking and the hot sun.
Reflections from The Bean in Millennium Park.
I think her mother has a camera in her hand a bit too much.
The faces that spit water. Perfect day for an impromptu splash!
Also, tell me how you’ve been. Are you feeling well? Getting audited by the IRS? Finding beautiful seashells on your summer trips? Been to any good movies lately? Do you like that new Estelle song featuring Kanye West? Me, too!
It’s going to be my summer anthem.

Are you a size 8 in shoes? If so, you may need to keep a close eye on those lovelies, I may steal them! Well, probably not, but it will all depend on the cocktail/Bri ratio, so watch out! Really! (Good lord, listen to me, I’m not really a psycho.)

Hi! I LOVE Chicago so those pictures were lovely to see. And the shoes–(and your calves—woman what do you do to make ‘em look like that b/c I need to get on that stat)–oh how I would love a pair of my very own (both lovely legs and red shoes).
(The pink hair has since washed out)

Adventures in Babywearing - I’ll let you know next time but there were a TON of people there. I was the one splashing around.
Bri - So embarrassing to admit, but I’m a size 11. At least I’m safe from you.
mp - Not so high-heeled! Really! They were comfortable as all get out.
Lara - Happy Birthday! Go buy some new shoes.
Dave2 - Good, I was worried about you and all that Gay Talk. HA.
The Over-Thinker - Honestly, not much anymore. They could smash a small country. Do the pink hair again, please? Don’t make me kick you with these legs, girl.
Amanda - Oh, you people are making me blush. I’ll send them over to you UPS. Watch for them.

I learned yesterday at the bowling alley (don’t ask why I would be a such a place), the average size of women’s feet is now a 10. at least in the bowling world. This information made me feel better for some reason since I, too, am a size 11.

I hope you posting pictures of yourself in shoes, doesn’t not inspire malathionman again, do you recall that incident? Do ya? my eye still twitches a little.
How am I? Not jealous of those calves, one bit. I also have some ocean front property in NM to sell you.

Summer is busy for us, so I don’t get much time off. But that’s okay since this is not exactly the best time of year to be outside (in my opinion - give me Spring or Fall any day over Summer). Glad you had fun with the family - love that Bean thing, but what’s the “faces that spit water?” Huh? You forget, not all of us have ever visited your neck of the woods.

Oh, sorry Libby! The faces are these huge columns that have these images of changing faces and water leaks from the top periodically and also from the mouth section. They’ll pucker up and you’ll see a stream coming out from them.
Here. I added a picture to my flickr stream for you:
