It’s been a long time since I stopped by girl… in fact it was probably right around the time you got sick with Mono! Apparently lots has happened since then… I have to get myself all caught up.

Hope you’re doing good… missed you!
I’m just getting back into the swing of things – doing it a bit differently these days but so far, so good. I see the same with you!

I pace while on the phone, too. It’s funny to watch my kids imitate that, since they don’t know any thing different. I remember watching my mom sit in the same chair, around the corner from the phone, on every phone call she made.

I totally pace and clean while on the phone. The last day or two I’ve been on the phone way more than usual, and my kitchen is VERY TIDY.

Love the list. My mom was a high school English teacher, and she still admonishes my brother and me to “be sweet.” We now say it to each other when we talk on the phone.

I never read The Outsiders, but I saw the movie about 50 times when I was in the eighth grade.

Lori E – I get nearly all the good parts from my mother. She’d tell you so herself.

Linda – Just recounting that made me miss teaching in the classroom. You’re SO right about how they say different things year after year. Sometimes, when a kid would point out something I’d missed in the past I would be so impressed with them.

Becky – Mad cleaning is always fun, isn’t it?

I can only impress my 4th graders by reciting The Cat in the Hat. They’re wowed every March 2nd when I do it.
