Now You Want To Make A Turkey Sound

This morning as I was perusing my feed reader (seriously, y’all, did you know that everyone uses the word ‘peruse’ wrong? Look it up.) I was reading this post by Afrobella which in turn linked Chookooloonks which originally linked it from Dooce. Whew. That was a lot of links for me this early in the morning.

Please make time to watch it. Omar is ridiculously adorable and makes this turkey noise every time he shows a makeup brush to the camera. He and Dez (short for Desiree?) are just the cutest couple and he does the exact same thing to her at the end of the video that The Cuban does to me when I try to kiss him while I am wearing lip gloss. He hates that. Usually he backs away from my lips and says, “Nuh uh. Goop.” because he really can’t describe what lip gloss is without using the technical term GOOP. Then, I wipe it off, kiss him, and reapply.

In some ways, Omar reminds me of the Cuban because he looks like the kind of man who could tell you how to change the oil in your car or put furniture together or how to perfectly grill a hamburger. These are all things The Cuban could do. He’d never put on my makeup. Would you let your man do that? The Cuban sees my makeup on the bathroom counter and just looks confused as to WHAT IT ALL DOES.

Dez and Omar need a show. When she corrects him at the end of the video he even listens intently and says, “Ohhhh. Mmm hmmmm.” They don’t need to change a thing. Especially that noise Omar makes with the makeup brushes.
