It’s funny that the song stuck in my head these days is by Joss Stone because the first song I posted in this new category of mine is from her boyfriend, Raphael Saadiq. I love her old sounding voice. It’s deep and throaty and there’s no way a girl this young should understand the lyrics she sings, but I’m sure she does. This sound reminds me of a time not too long ago at that crucial moment when you know you’re shattered in a relationship, but you decide to move on because you have absolutely no other choice.
And I’ll be alright and I’ll love again.
And the wounds will mend.
I’m bruised but not broken.
The pain will fade.
I’ll get back on my feet.
It’s not the end of me.

Joss is so amazing to me. I’m not a fan of alot of her music but the few songs that I love seep into my soul.
My husband and I have wondered if they were dating since the first album of hers that he produced. Funny that I never thought to look it up!
Joss is a musician that I’m surprised to not be gaga over…but like Rachel above, there are a few songs I really like.
She is one of my favorite singers. Amazing voice.
