Chalkboard T-Shirt

by Mocha Momma on September 12, 2011

I saw this amazing t-shirt by Class A Attire where you can write on your t-shirt, erase it, and wear it again with a new message. The teacher in me loves this. The goofball in me would write my own tweets on the t-shirt each time I thought I came up with a new, clever one. The dork in me would be too afraid to wear it in public lest my students run into me when I’m wearing People Clothes. My students do this to me a lot so I tend to go places like the grocery store while I’m ‘incognito’ wearing yoga pants, a sweatshirt, and a ball cap to hide myself. Add a pair of enormous sunglasses and I’m unrecognizable but it doesn’t stop them from squealing, “Mrs. Wickham! What are YOU doing here?” as if I don’t eat food or need edibles for my family.

Isn’t this a great t-shirt? I think I’m putting it on my Christmas list from my children this year.

Very cool! I’m sure you have to take it off to write on it, so that would pretty much put the kibosh on spontaneous, public changes in thoughts, wouldn’t it?

I bought one of these shirts for my son about 2 years ago at a chicago street fair. It was so much fun.

I think that will be on my list too. It would be fun as a teacher. You could put a quote on it that applies to the lesson of the day and make people guess about it. I would get one for my daughter and put a warning on it about her mood (until she can read and write her own).

I still remember the day I saw Mrs. Kern at the grocery store in 7th grade. It was mindblowing.
