Dinah Washington died way too young. She was 39. In that short amount of time, Dinah packed a whole lot of living into her life. She married 8 times and divorced 7. I can’t even imagine.
This song, written and performed a full seven years before I was even born, is a true classic. Dinah’s pure voice is soothing and I would never know this woman lived the life she did while listening to her.
