Apparently, I’m not finished with the Gilberto familia. Sunday mornings around here we spend a lot of time listening to music. Mostly Pandora but sometimes Spotify. Since we’ve had Pandora stations set for so long we are loathe to pick up a new music app to start over and The Cuban had it set to his Jack Johnson station (his all time favorite!) but we were surprised to hear it play this song, “Agua de Beber” by Astrud Gilberto. Of course, I ran over to his cell phone (which we plug into the sound system to listen all over the house) and said, “Wait! Are they playing an Astrud Gilberto song on this station?” and then I immediately wrote it on my music list for the week. Because it’s good and made us dance around the kitchen.
Thank God we took that couples dance class last year. We cut a mean rug when we do the samba. (Not very different from this Brazilian woman dancing. This is, um, NSFW if your boss would mind walking in to see you watching all this BRAZILIAN BOOTY. They must not have pants or lower-half clothing for the Brazilian women in that country.) (And I’m totally kidding. I didn’t look like this at all.) (Oh my, y’all. This is 8 and a half minutes of amazing.) (And the shoes. LOOK AT THE SHOES.)

My good friend used this song to try out for a singing group that we were in, so whenever I hear it, I think of her.
