Cuppa the Day
30 October 2007
There’s this little gem of a bistro/cafe I found last summer and it was perfect because no one really knew about it and they renovated a downtown shop leaving the brick exposed and putting cafe tables with umbrellas outside and every Saturday after the Farmer’s Market I would go there to get a cuppa. That [...]

I wanted iced tea but the weather turned on me so as I rolled down the window to place an order for tea I heard myself say, “Chocolate raspberry truffle coffee. Large. With some cream. And three Splenda.” And now I have cause for concern for getting out a larger pant size during this cool [...]

When I pulled up to my little coffee hut today I just asked, “Ok, Sweet Thang. What’s brewin’ that’s good?” and then a string of beautiful words came out of her mouth. My eyes glazed over after hearing “rhubarb” and “peach” and “ginger” when she described her iced tea. A luscious earthy flavored tea that [...]

It’s a Spanish-themed day here at MochaMomma and I’m planning on getting my favorite iced tea from my favorite new coffee hut called K.I.S.S. Coffee. The barista/owner is beginning to know me by now considering the fact that I’ve gotten my punch card filled out and received a free drink last week. She makes a [...]

Bean grinder: broken. Coffee filters: out. Fresh coffee: no where to be found. Aww crap.

Panera makes a green tea that is bearable for those of us too wimpy to drink the real stuff. Theirs is “infused with passion fruit and papaya” which means it’s fruity, not tart. It’s drinkable. It’s yumm-able.

My friend Jenni lets me tease her a lot. I miss working with her this year but we made a date for Starbucks after work tonight. When I see her name come up on my cell phone I answer, “Hey, Jennaaayyy” a la Forest Gump. She introduced me to this: tall skinny White Chocolate Mocha [...]
