LOFT Party!

This is a compensated review by BlogHer and Loft.

I’ve been a LOFT fan for years. It all started when one day I asked a rather tall friend of mine (who is 6 feet tall) where she got her trouser pants. They were a great fit on her and went all the way to her shoes. She was even wearing heels and the length seemed perfect. Too perfect to pass up. “Oh, these? LOFT makes pants for tall women.” It was already a match made in heaven and they’ve been my Go To when I needed new trouser pants. I’m a fan of the “Marissa” cut which has larger pockets in the back but I’ve also been known to get the “Julie” which is a very slimming cut.

LOFT recently invited me to take another look at their collections. Except, I saw with new eyes this time because my usual ‘search’ at their store was limited to the trouser pants. This time, however, I looked at everything. Thanks to a personal stylist, I got to mix and match and use jewelry and scarves and belts and things that normally I wouldn’t pick up. The store manager and employees were beyond helpful. I may or may not have hugged one of the sales associates after my experience. Ok. I hugged her. There was a DJ playing, snacks, and an all-around HAVE A GOOD TIME OR ELSE vibe to the entire experience.

I got to try three different looks during my LOFT experience and I’m in need of more assistance. The first was the Perfect Party Outfit. I tried on the black ribbon-strapped dress with a long necklace. The stylist, Amy, helped me see that the earrings that would look best are a black pair of “diamonds” that wouldn’t detract from the rest of the outfit. For fun, I let her put a black headband with a large flower on it.

The second look was an Office-to-Party look that included this magical “boyfriend jacket” that I swear gave me more of a waist than I normally have once I put it on! The wine colored tank was one of those things that I would love to keep in my closet all the time. It’s entirely versatile and useable for a variety of occasions. This outfit used a thick fabric for the skirt which I loved since currently it’s cold and I could stay both warm and trendy wearing that.

The final look was a Casual Holiday look and I tried the Marissa jeans with some black pumps, a colorful tank, and a wine colored sweater on top. Amy had me belt the look with a thick caramel colored braid belt that pulled it all together and made it look more sharp. The Marissa jeans were absolutely fantastic and had a trouser, professional look to them that seemed very trendy.
